Traditional Malas
Malas are a Buddhist meditation tool. Each bead is passed through the finger and thumb during a mantra practice. They are generally 108 beads, 72 beads or 54 beads, all adding to the number 9. 9 symbolizes nirvana or completion. And the “guru” Bead is the beginning of the count cycle and the end of the count cycle.
Each mala is made with an intention, love, and in meditation. Each stone chosen for the mala has a benefit or metaphysical meaning. My malas are always handmade and one of a kind, the stones are handpicked and created for the highest benefit of the wearer.
Each stone has a benefit or a property to aid a person with their own journey. That said, the person that wears the mala also needs to take action in their journey, to get the best out of the stones.
Malas can be worn around the neck, if they are too long they can be wrapped around twice to shorten the length, they can also be worn around the wrist as a bracelet. It doesn’t matter which wrist you wear it on.
